Providing for the Brain – Optimizing Mental Agility Through Food, and Lifestyle More
I have usually been captivated by human potential. I’ve met people who have reached beyond the age of 100 who were still able to appreciate wit and conversation with all those eighty years their junior, and also marvelled about how they managed to keep the minds of theirs sharp as well as agile, whilst others seemed to experience merely the opposite – an early fading of the mental faculties of theirs.
I definitely plan to experience the former category when I keep my 100th birthday celebration party on the seashore in Hawaii in January 2063, as well as ensure that I can go surfing with everybody else.
Impossible? I do not understand why. Was not it Paul Bragg who famously died in a surfing accident aged 109, with a brain that has been as fit as that of most men and women in their twenties? Want to complete the same? Let us jump in and consider the 10 tasks you have to do in the event that you want a fit and agile brain to use that fit and agile body.
1. Oxygenate
Oxygen is the central brain nutrient by far. We are able to last weeks without food, days without water, but just minutes without air. Ensure that you oxygenate your body and brain by serious breathing in unpolluted environments, avoiding air pollution anywhere possible, cleaning up the indoor vyvamind cost air of yours with “green” cleansing products and houseplants, and exercising regularly. Get into nature every time you are able to, and focus on the breathing of yours. Develop wheatgrass in the house of yours. Do yoga. The way you choose to do it, get good quality clean air into your lungs.
2. Consume (and drink) the greens of yours
Green foods and juices build the blood. The reason is chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is the molecule that gives the plant its beautiful bright green colour and it is our best friend in regard to oxygenation previously mentioned. The chlorophyll molecule is very similar in structure to haemoglobin, the oxygen-carrying complex in our white blood cells, the difference being that, whilst the central ion in chlorophyll is magnesium, in haemoglobin it is iron. The foods highest in chlorophyll are the meals that give us the best tissue oxygenation opportunity – think wheatgrass juice, blue green algae and sunflower greens for instance, and also use them every single day to oxygenate your entire body. Leafy green salads also contain chlorophyll, but not pretty much as wheatgrass and also the algae.
3. Hydrate!
For people who read the articles of mine, you are going to be conscious of my opinion of sports drinks, which allegedly hydrate us better compared to water. In my opinion they should be avoided since many are nothing more than diluted meal colouring with added artificial sweeteners..
Eighty % of the brain is water. If we’re dehydrated, the brain will not function correctly, period. Ensure you are well hydrated by consuming half a fluid ounce of h20 for each pound of the bodyweight of yours. Drink only clean water (not chlorinated or out of a plastic bottle) and minimal glycaemic vegetable juices. Cucumber juice is a fantastic way of hydrating yourself, as well as coconut water. Stay away from coffee and standard tea. Herb teas are a great replacement for constant tea and coffee. Ignore claims that “coffee is great for you” with the contempt that they are entitled to.
